Birthdays are overrated. Weddings suck (unless your one of the participants, I suppose). Shan's sister is a hypochondriac (she was all happy that the doc thought "she may have Lupus" many years ago ... she didn't have it, thank whomever), so I feel your pain. Hope your mom recovers quickly enough, so (at the very least) you don't have to put up with those "if *I* was you" speeches. Good luck all around!
