It got hot today… nearly ninety with high humidity. My cats have all melted. They’re lying in puddles all around the house. That’s how you can tell that it’s ht in the Rural Wastelands – the cats are all on the floor instead of the furniture.

It’s been a quiet weekend. Went for a bit of a drive yesterday to pick up some lemons. Also got The Aviator. Not a bad flick.

Today I did a bit of gardening and took some pictures:

Bridal Wreath
This reminds me of [livejournal.com profile] ingenuemuse because it’s called Bridal Wreath

Chives
The chives are in bloom

Duchess of Edinburgh
This one reminds me of [livejournal.com profile] classytart. It’s a clematis called ‘Duchess of Edinburgh’

Duchess again
Here’s a close-up

Iris
Some irises

Made in America
The rhododendrons in my front yard

Mock Orange
This is a mock orange in the back yard

Star of Bethlehem
This is a curious little bulb called ‘Star of Bethlehem’

Widow’s Tears
Seeing these always makes me sad. They’re called ‘Widow’s Tears’

Yellow Iris
Some more irises

And finally:

Sunday Afternoon

Today is day five of the cleansing, and it’s still going strong. You can take that however you like…

Lastly, courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] slipjig, is this awesome little video. Probably not safe for work though…

That video shows nothing "indecent" and yet it is one hell of a piece of erotic art. The most erogenous zone in the human body is that spot between the ears. Fascinating. *sigh* I do miss watching, up close and personal, a woman's face when that happens. Just off hand, Old Chap, are you sure it is the flowers that make you think of Muse? ; )

By the way...

That is most excellent photography, as usual, Mr. Footle. You have an artist's eye.

Footle land is so beautiful. I can only try to imagine the smell, but it must be wonderful.

I've always loved the way chives look when they flower, but they so rarely get the chance to, being delicious and all. :)
